SUMMER 2025 BRIDGE PROGRAM DETAILS

 

Dear Students, Parents and Guardians,

This summer, all student members of the class of 2028 as well as new incoming members of the Class of 2028 & 2029 will have the opportunity to attend a special summer session via Staten Island Technical High School’s Summer Bridge Program.

This summer experience will offer students the opportunity to: 

  • get a head-start on the school year by becoming familiar with staff, peers, the building,
  • Make friends my meeting other Techies,
  • beginning to learn some of the subjects taught at Tech, like Russian while further developing their writing, note taking and study skills.

 

While this program is not mandatory, it is highly recommended that all students attend.  The Summer Bridge Program will be an in-person program only.  

To register, the student must complete this Google Survey:

This survey will be open and accessible from March 18, 2025 through June 13, 2025.  

After June 13, 2025 scheduling for the Bridge Program will begin and students will be notified of their Bridge Program assignment before or during the week of June 23, 2025 via the same email address in which the student inputs within the survey.

Time: 8:30 am - 1:30 pm, Tuesday - Thursday

Transportation: On your own (no MetroCards are available this summer for this program)

 

If a Parent / Guardian Needs to Pick up Child Early:

  • Use the main entrance on Clawson St. & Lindbergh Ave.

Summer Reading Assignment:

  • Staten Island Technical High School believes very strongly in the social-emotional well being of our students. We have instituted assignment free breaks so that a break can be a reset! However, reading can be a GREAT way to relax, so this pamphlet gives you some of our English Department's favorite summer reads without any assignment attached.
