Dr. Jared Jax, Ed.D.
CTE / FRNYC Coordinator & Master Teacher
Dr. Jax serves as the school's Career and Technical Education (CTE) and Future Ready New York City (FRNYC) Coordinator. He is a pivotal member of the science and technology departments and his many roles include: maintaining the school's status as a CTE accredited program in NYS for Pre-Engineering, maintaining the school's Makerspace, allocating funding which is generated by our CTE program, as well as other essential functions related to maintaining and growing our engineering and computer science programs.
Dr. Jax is a also veteran physics teacher who currently focuses on Applied and Regents Physics. He has a love for the content and enjoys giving students an opportunity to see and use hands-on demonstrations and lab experiences. He also hosts a Regents Physics Website for students to access review materials and additional resources. As a master teacher he is also tasked with sharing his expertise with other teachers and provide professional development opportunities, especially with regards to project-based learning and the use of innovative technologies.
