Get Ready for the 2020-2021 National Youth Safety Essay Scholarship
Students that have completed one of our OSHA 10-Hour training courses are encouraged to create a written or video essay describing how the OSHA 10-Hour training has made an impact in the way they recognize hazards and how it will be a benefit to their future.

CareerSafe will select up to four (4) students to be awarded a $500 scholarship each quarter. Quarter 1 deadline is March 31, 2021 at 5:00 PM CST.

Looking for creative ideas for students outside the classroom? CareerSafe is here to help! The National Youth Safety Video Contest is a competition where students are challenged to create a short video demonstrating safety in the workplace.

The top 3 video winners and their school will receive up to $7,500 in scholarship prizes and be announced at the Opening Ceremony of the 2021 SkillsUSA National Leadership and Skills Conference in Atlanta, GA.

In a time of social distancing, these short films do not need multiple students together. They can be recorded with a cell phone and tripod/phone holder (landscape recording). Students can be as creative as they like, as long as the message of youth safety in the workplace is delivered. Submission deadline is March 1, 2021.

Each year, the United Federation of Teachers proudly awards $1 million in undergraduate and graduate scholarships to academically excellent and financially eligible students from New York City public schools. Scholarship winners are living proof that excellence can thrive in New York City schools. Their hard work — and the dedication of all the educators who worked with them — enable them to achieve academic distinction.
