Everton Henriques
Mr. Henriques specializes in the Engineering Robotics, Computer Aided Design (CAD), and Fundamentals of Engineering courses at Staten Island Tech. Mr. Henriques' extracurricular roles include serving as a coach and advisor to the SeaPerch Underwater Robotics team, SITHS Amateur Radio League (WS1THS), and Seagull Solar Car Racing Team (WS0LAR). Additionally, Mr. Henriques supervises in-house engineering interns and makerspace projects, teaches in the engineering sector of the annual Summer Design Institute, and co-facilitates ARRL VE test sessions for those pursuing FCC-issued amateur radio licenses.
Prior to joining Tech's technology department in 2014, Mr. Henriques spent 4 years in the Rochester Institute of Technology-affiliated PLTW engineering pathway, teaching the Introduction to Engineering Design, Principles of Engineering, and Aerospace Engineering courses. Mr. Henriques' industrial experience includes research, manufacturing, and product development roles at IBM, Panasonic, Alfred University, and AVX Corp.
