Summer Youth Employment Program Application is Live

The Summer Youth Employment Program (SYEP) is a joint effort between the New York City Department of Youth and Community Development (DYCD) and United Activities Unlimited, Inc., one of its providers. SYEP is the nation’s most extensive youth employment program, connecting NYC youth aged 14 and 24 with career exploration opportunities and paid work experience each summer within their local communities.

The Verizon Skill Forward program is a collaboration between edX and Verizon aimed at providing career-enhancing online courses focused on high-demand skills to facilitate long-term career growth. The Skill Forward effort is part of Citizen Verizon, Verizon’s responsible business plan to prepare 50,000 individuals for in-demand jobs by 2030. There are online trainings available in Artificial Intelligence, Coding Data Analytics, Cybersecurity, Leadership and Project Management. You do not need to be a Verizon customer to access these.
