Now Accepting Applications for the Mayor’s Scholarship Program

Undergraduate Scholarships Are Now Available Under the Newly Branded Mayor's Scholarship Program (MSP)

For the first time, NYC civil servants will have the opportunity to pursue either an undergraduate or a graduate degree through participating colleges and universities while remaining employed by the city.

The Department of Citywide Administrative Services (DCAS) is currently accepting applications for the undergraduate 2026-2027 Mayor's Scholarship Program. This is a competitive program with a limited number of scholarships available for classes that begin in the fall of 2026.

To be eligible for a scholarship, you must:

  • Be a full-time City employee.
  • Have a high school diploma or equivalent by the start of the fall 2026 semester.
  • Be willing to pursue your undergraduate degree on your own time.
  • Complete and submit the application package to your Agency Personnel Office by the deadline of April 27, 2026*.
