NYCHA-CUNY Resident Scholarship Program

Since 2005, NYCHA has annually launched scholarships to support its residents in advancing their education and increasing their income and assets. . The scholarships aim to assist eligible residents pursuing undergraduate or graduate degrees at a City University of New York (CUNY) college. Below are scholarships categories awarded in prior years:
  • Regina A. Figueroa Memorial
  • Kisha Jackson Memorial
  • Levine Family Scholarship
  • Kofi Hormeku Scholarship
  • Amazon NYCHA-CUNY Scholarship
  • Rise Light & Power Scholarship
  • National Grid
  • The City Council of New York
Authorized NYCHA public housing residents and Section 8 tenants;  enrollment at a CUNY college, full-time graduate and/or undergraduate students; 24 or more credits; minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA. This is a competitive scholarship application process reviewed by committee.
