Sun High School Program 2024
We are thrilled to share with you an exciting opportunity for our students: the Summer High School Internship Program in Urban Ecology. This 6-week paid internship offers students the chance to delve into environmental science and gain valuable insights into college pathways and career navigation.
The program provides a unique platform for students to interact with CUNY Interns and Alumni, as well as High School Interns from Cohort 2022 and/or 2023. Through engaging discussions and hands-on experiences, participants will explore the next steps in their academic journey and gain practical knowledge about pursuing careers in environmental science.

answering the following questions:
○ “Why is nature in NYC important?”
○ “Tell us about something about the natural world that fascinates you. If you had unlimited time and resources, how would you go about gaining a better understanding of this topic or issue?”
○ “Can you tell me why you think scientific exploration is important, why we conduct it and what it tells us?”
● In addition, please include a recommendation letter completed by a teacher, guidance counselor, or other school personnel that can attest to your strengths and how this program will benefit you.
