The Space Prize Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to empowering young women to participate in the growing space economy, is looking for 150 high school women to participate in a Space Camp on board the Intrepid Museum in New York City this coming March in celebration of Women’s History Month.
The camp is open to girls aged 14-18 from NYC and surrounding areas. Students can either apply directly for the camp or be nominated by an educator from their community. Round one of the challenge will close on December 20th. The winners of the challenge will be invited to attend a 3-day space camp at the Intrepid Museum in New York during the week beginning March 25, 2024. The camp will include hands-on activities, workshops, lectures, and tours related to space science and technology.
The winners will meet and interact with astronauts, experts, and mentors from the space industry and contribute towards the launch of a CubeSat. This is a once-in-a-lifetime chance for your students to learn more about space and STEM fields, as well as to develop their skills, confidence, and network.
