My City, My Community Pitch Competition

The My City, My Community Pitch Competition is now in its third year, and JobsFirstNYC is taking its popular pitch competition to new heights!

My City, My Community is a pitch competition where young adults ages 16–24 living within the five New York City boroughs can share innovative, entrepreneurial ideas that address local concerns and advance their communities. The pitch invites young adults to identify a challenge faced in their community and propose a solution for how they would like to see that challenge be addressed.

The deadline for applications has been extended to Friday, October 20, 2023 in response to a high level of interest. To better our City and communities, we want to ensure that as many young New Yorkers can submit their ideas as possible, especially those who are out of school and out of work. With this new deadline, previous applicants will also have more time to refine their pitch and post it on social media with the hashtags #mycitymycommunity #mynyc.

Young adults can win up to $5,000 in cash and prizes and receive mentorship to help them realize their ideas. The finalists will be announced on October 27, and winners will be announced at the finalist pitch competition live round, which will take place on Thursday, November 2 from 10:00am-12:00pm at FPWA. Please share with your network!
