The STEM & Robotics course is a fun and challenging hands-on adventure for all Staten Island Tech freshmen. Students work in teams to design, build, and test robots that can complete a variety of automated and practical tasks. Can you design the fastest robot? Does your robot have what it takes complete the renown STEM obstacle course?
During the STEM & Robotics course, students will learn about 50+ different engineering disciplines, while engaging in hands-on activities within the core mechanical, computer, electrical, and civil engineering fields. Students will be introduced to C++ programming applications, the TETRIX Robotics platform, bridge/tower/cantilever design, and power transmission in a variety of guided projects and competitions.
