Tunnel to Towers NYC 5k Volunteer Opportunity: TIME SENSITIVE

About the Tunnel to Towers Foundation
The Tunnel to Towers Foundation honors the sacrifice of firefighter Stephen Siller who laid down his life to save others on September 11, 2001. The Foundation also honors our military and first responders who continue to make the supreme sacrifice of life and limb for our country. The following are some of the Foundation’s most significant programs.

Through its Smart Home program, the Foundation custom builds specially adapted mortgage-free Smart Homes that help our most catastrophically injured veterans and first responders reclaim their day-to-day independence.

The Foundation’s Gold Star Family Home program honors the legacy of those who have made the ultimate sacrifice while serving our country by paying off the mortgage held on the family’s existing home or providing the surviving spouses and young children with mortgage-free homes.

The Foundation also supports the spouses and young children of law enforcement officers and firefighters who are killed in the line of duty by paying off the mortgage held on their homes. In 2021, Tunnel to Towers expanded this program to support the families of first responders who have lost their lives to 9/11 illnesses.
