What Shakes The World- Earthquake Relief in Haiti and Chile -by Helen Yao
On January 12, 2010, a magnitude 7.0 earthquake hit Haiti, virtually destroying the capital of Port-au-Prince. A little more than a month later, on February 27, 2010, a magnitude 8.8 earthquake shook Chile. The effect of these quakes on the people of Haiti and Chile was simply devastating. The quake in Haiti may have taken more than 200,000 lives; in fact, President Rene Preval states that the number is still unknown. The numbers in Chile are not as devastating (about 700 deaths), but hundreds of people have died and millions have lost their homes. Relief in Haiti and Chile has been a welcome help, as people step in all around the world to aid the reconstruction of these two countries.

This year’s Super Bowl between the Colts and the Saints was the most watched television show in American history with approximately 106 million viewers, which broke last year’s Super Bowl record of 98 million. And all 106 million viewers definitely enjoyed an excellent Super Bowl that will be remembered for a long time.
Jets Going to the Super Bowl!?!? -by Christopher Caputo
One month ago the chances of the Jets making it into the playoffs were impossible, they kept losing winnable games and were not even in the Wild Card contention. Luckily, due to all the teams the Jets needed to lose losing, and some tough teams they faced (like the Colts) sitting their starters, the Jets rolled into the playoffs. In the first round the Jets beat the Bengals in what basically was a blowout game. Now the Jets go to San Diego to play the tough Chargers; although the Jets are the underdogs I believe they do have the potential to go to the Super Bowl.
