Recently, the MTA has discussed its planned service cuts to cover a financial shortfall of $400 million; how does this hurt students? The service cuts would lead to an end of the free student metrocards that we get every year, and the plan is that next year students get half-fare metrocards, and two years from now, students must pay full price. This is a significant problem for every NYC student.
